OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 is available for the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T models in India, which is a significant step in the company’s software update policy. The OS updates for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro were originally set to happen.
In a post on the forums, the phone maker announced the latest release. The latest update, which is also rolling out (opens in new tab), has a heavy focus on UI improvements, including updated theme colors, icons, and animations as part of the new Aquamorphic Design
The Meeting Assistant feature has been added by OnePlus. To make it easier to open apps in an enlarged folder with a single tap, large folders have been introduced to the Home screen.
There’s also a new media control in the Quick settings. The ability to doodle on graphics to take notes has been added to the productivity side of the phone.
There should be access to more Always-On Display animations and Emoji for the owners of the OnePlus 8 and 10R series. There were a few issues with the Lock screen and the screen-off gestures.
The new Kid Space has the ability to adjust the screen time limit, set ambient light reminders, and turn on eye-protecting features. There are a number of security and privacy enhancements included in the October 2022 update. You can see the full changelog here.
There are a few known issues, including the irregular display of the charging prompt on the lock screen, an abnormal display of the timing function of the life mode, and a black screen that pops up when opening the camera.
The stable version of OxygenOS 13 began rolling out to some of the best phones in the world in September.
