Protect Samsung Notes documents with a fingerprint or password
Before you can lock documents behind a password, you need to open the Notes app, tap the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the main screen, and use the “Note unlock methods” option.
You can set up a password here, and you can also turn on fingerprints for your documents if you choose to.




That’s it! You are ready to use a password or fingerprints to secure your documents. To open or create a document that you want to lock, tap the options button in the top-right corner of the screen, then tap the lock icon in the pop-up window. It is right between the Share and Favorite buttons.


Every time you try to access your locked document, you’ll be asked for your password or fingerprints. It’s easy to use this feature, which allows you to keep sensitive documents inside of the Notes.
It prevents the deletion of the documents. Before you can trash a locked file, you will have to give a password or fingerprints.
It’s worth noting that entire folders can’t be secured through a password or fingerprints, even if you create a folder in the popular app. The security feature is only available for the documents.
